About Me Image - Michael Rees Personal Trainer (YMCA, REPS L3)My name is Michael Rees and I’m a freelance personal trainer. Health and Fitness has been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember. I ran competitively in my teens, discovered the gym in my twenties, and took up triathlon in my thirties.

I am a father of three, and prior to becoming a personal trainer I worked in I.T. for a Government company and also in the engineering sector.

Modern life tends to pull you in any number of different directions at the same time. I know exactly how difficult it can be to achieve a balanced lifestyle with a busy career and a vibrant family life, but it can be done.

I believe in a functional and holistic approach to fitness. I train your entire body to make you faster, stronger and fitter as well as developing and improving balance and co-ordination. I work on strength, cardiovascular fitness and nutrition to create a total package geared towards achieving my clients goals.

I hold the Personal Trainer Award from YMCAfit, the leading fitness industry trainers in the UK, I am licenced as a Level 3 Personal Trainer and insured by the Register of Exercise Professionals (Membership Number R0072711).

I have a flexible approach to training which means we can train just about anywhere. A little bit of kit, a little bit of space and some imagination. I’m pretty passionate about getting the best for my clients. Changing your health can change your life so I’ll help you every step of the way.
